Howdy Folks,

Newsletter time again! I want to thank everyone who has expressed appreciation for my efforts here. It really encourages me to put another newsletter together.

10th Anniversary

Our ten year anniversary year finished a success with fun for all. The “once-in-a-lifetime” Ephraim Faience sale blew out nearly all of our inventory. A bunch of smart people loaded up! Our fabulous Yoshiko Yamamoto “10 year anniversary” print is now on sale for $25 each, still a great bargain!

Collecting food for the Food Bank over the holiday season was fruitful and personally satisfying. I enjoyed it so much, that I have volunteered to continue through out the year. The barrels will be outside my door whenever we are open. It is an easy thing to pick up one extra item at Star Grocery and leave it for the hungry. Holiday giving is wonderful, but people are hungry every day. Please take the time to make a difference in somebody’s life.

We have more great art than ever before. Kathleen West has provided us with numerous examples of her work and for the first time in years we have inventory to show you. Those of you lucky enough to collect her work in the early days will be amazed by her new works. Please come by and see our new collection before it disappears!

Get up to the snow!

I stayed in town over the holidays, but did visit my brother’s family. We all went up to the Sierra snow park and went sleigh riding with his two little boys. My childhood in Minnesota came back in a flash as I careened down the hill. Wow, you really go fast on these high tech newfangled snow flyers! It was hard to stop laughing all the way down. When was the last time you felt that way? The snow is there waiting for you now. I double dare you to try it! Last one down is a rotten egg!

Michelle and Jack are well. Jack is now SEVEN years old! He spent three days in Disneyland and amazingly wasn’t offered a movie contract, but we all know he is cuter than Mickey, smarter than Donald, and funnier than Goofy.

GlacierHome - Montana vacation home for rent

My house in Montana has become my latest obsession.

Montana vacation home for rent - Glacier National Park

Glacier Park is one of those destinations everyone should see at least once in a lifetime. It is part of the “Crown of the Continent”, the largest intact ecosystem in North America. Our house is right in the heart of it. If you love wildlife, the mountains, and raw natural beauty with great access, Glacier cannot be beat. Fishing and golf right out the door and the Park across the river. It is the most amazing location you could find for all the best things in the world.

We are really trying to make it the best rental in the area, and I think it will be. You can now check it out yourself at: www.glacierhome.com. The summer schedule is filling up, so do yourself (and me) a favor and reserve your time now. Please call my property manager, Susan at: (888) 836-5500 and ask for the best rental in West Glacier, she’ll know which one!

Caledonia Studios has produced great photos of their fine furniture and we will now be hosting them on our website. See the new Caledonia furniture catalog!

In local news, the Berkeley Hillside Club is sponsoring a lecture of the history and architecture of the Adirondacks (for those of you geographically challenged, it is a remote wilderness area in upstate New York). The enclosed flyer has all the info. See you there!

Arts and Crafts Conference

By the time you get this I will have returned from the Arts and Crafts Conference at the Grove Park Inn , Asheville, North Carolina. Come on by and get the latest gossip and good info on what’s up with Arts and Crafts stuff from around the country. I hope to pick up some new vendors and great new objects for your home.

As usual, for those of you with the fortitude to read this far, I offer a special gift. Please come by the store and get your gift. Remember, you must ask for it!

Have a great day and life,

Warm regards,
Lee Jester
